Day 28 In the month of June

Here is a facebook graffiti of my teacher Andrew Hamilton.

You can see his blog on the side bar and his website here.

He taught me some of the most important things i know about painting, art, and life.

Day 27 in the month of June.

Hello all.

My sincerest apologies for missing so many days. A combination of business commitments and Internet difficulties have prevented me from posting regularly.

Normal posting frequncy will resume shortly.

In other news, The local 'farmers' market (there are acctually more artists and crafts-people there then fresh produce vendors) has gotten much nicer now that we're more into the tourist/summer season.

I've made a couple sales, one commision, and tons of good comments and interest in house portraits.

I've also just started a blog of specifically the progress of clients commisions called "Painters Progress".

Here is two of my four works at the McKay House in Unionville, in Toronto.

Day 17 in the month of June

Well, I felt like doing some cherries, but then, I didn't.

Had a car accident yesterday. That would be why I didn't post. I'm okay, just sore. My mom is fine too (She was driving).

We got rear-ended by a pickup truck.

Day 15 in the month of June

Here is a progress pic of a re-paint. I just was never happy with the original result so I'm trying a slightly different approach.

Day 14 in the month of June bonus

Here's a little bonus to make up for some of the days I missed.

Day 14 in the month of June!

I'm so sorry. The internet's been acting up and I have been unable to post.

Nearing the end of this portrait, hopefully.

Good day at market yesterday, lots of traffic and interest in house portraits!

Day 10 in the month of June

Here's a graffiti (a little web program I like to play with.) I did today.  Probably 2 hrs...  you can see the whole thing speeded up if you like.  It's more the kind of thing I used to do (the subject). And what I hope to include in my body of work.  Raw emotion I suppose, or just expression practice?

If you want to see the whol thing (as blogger cuts the right side off) my Graffiti Gallery is here:

Ugh,  shouldn't have bothered.  I'll post something nicer tomorrow.

Day 5 in the month of June

Here's the second progress pic of that portrait I'm working on.

Just fighting with the skin tones on the face and the shapes (Proportions).
It's proving difficult due to having the face so small compared to the rest of the composition, but I think it's starting to shape up.

Day 4 in the month of June.

Just a sketch from the market.  Long day, had market till 1:00 then orientation till about 7:00.

The other is a sort of creepy caricature from memory of my dad.  I'll have to try this again cause he's not really creepy...
