Painting a day, in the month of May

The title pretty much says it.  In order to be more prolific I'll be doing a painting a day for this month (and posting it here).  If all goes well I'll continue on in the upcoming months right up till I go to Algonquin in September.  Maybe even after that...

8"x 8" Acrylic on canvas.

  1. I like it. Any chance you'll tackle a superhero or two?

  2. Definitely. When the mood hits me. I'm going for some simple-ish stuff just to get back into the swing of it. It's a painting a day, no matter what, on top of whatever I need to get done.
Who did you have in mind? I'll take requests for the future.

  3. How about somebody that doesn't get a lot of ink? Someone colourful, like the original Alan Scott version of Green Lantern or Jay Garrick's original Flash, or Captain Marvel (or any of the Marvels) from DC or even the Marvel version of Captain Marvel.

Legionnaires maybe? They're all pretty flamboyant and colourful. I was always partial to Wildfire, Shadow Lass and Timberwolf myself.

Anyone outside of the mainstream would be awesome. Villains are always cool too, like Mr. Sinister, Darkseid or Mordru.

Outside of DC/Marvel there are some cool characters in the Image library, from Gen 13 or WildC.A.T.S.

Just spitballing. Whatever character or characters move your pigments.

How big are these, by the way?

  4. I'm keeping them all under a foot for expedience sake. All good recommendations, I think I might make Sunday's super hero days. Starting next week..
