Well, after a bit of a slump, I'm getting back into it.

A good day.

Ran some errands, got some new clothes, and painted this little treasure my mom found at the local Goodwill.

Finished some work

Finished up the Chinese poppy and duck, and framed up another piece too.

Not a bad days work.

A preview and a pallet

Was prepping a board for a new piece, and while waiting for the gesso to dry, decided to be productive.

Not proper value scales, just tube colour (or mix) plus varying degrees of white added.

(Need better lighting in my studio for taking pictures....)

More work

Still not quite there...

Got some new colours (Alizarin Crimson and Indian Yellow in the Open acrylics), Always fun playing with new colours. They're both very transparent colours, so it'll take some time and experimenting to really get to know them.
