Finished up the Chinese poppy and duck, and framed up another piece too.

Rubik's Cube Sketch

The first of many.

I'm like a kid who just won't let it go,
Twisting and turning the colours in rows,
I'm so intent to find out what it is,

An even more unproductive day.

Spent most of the day organizing, tidying up, and watching movies.

Here is the start of a nice little water colour. I'm out of practice, but its fun geting back into it.

A preview and a pallet

Was prepping a board for a new piece, and while waiting for the gesso to dry, decided to be productive.

Not proper value scales, just tube colour (or mix) plus varying degrees of white added.

Still not quite there...

Got some new colours (Alizarin Crimson and Indian Yellow in the Open acrylics), Always fun playing with new colours. They're both very transparent colours, so it'll take some time and experimenting to really get to know them.

Noticed that the lighting on the previous image was terrible so went out and took new photos of everything.

I'm not quite there yet with it.. May repaint it entirely.

Quite a lot of effort for such a little painting.

Not a bad turn out though. Scan is a little funky because the paper is slightly warped.

Frame might need another pass.

Something new.

Not as comfortable with watercolour so being a little careful in the treatment.

Just a bit more colour and define the lines and should be pretty nice.

Long Summer

My next program of study starts in Jan 2011, so It's going to be a long 'break'.

Early Summer (Spring) Update

It is crazy warm in Ottawa right now! was about 27 today!

Really nice though. Just really buckling down for the end of the semester (and program!).

Lots of work to do. Heres a preview of something I've been working on for a while, A T-shirt design I did for a band, and a monster I did for character design class

Well, I felt like doing some cherries, but then, I didn't.

Had a car accident yesterday. That would be why I didn't post. I'm okay, just sore. My mom is fine too (She was driving).

We got rear-ended by a pickup truck.
