Student show

Submission deadlines today and tomorrow, but I'm pretty much good to go.

Here's one of the many studies I've done for my new painting "Moonrise".  Colour pencil.

Painting progress

Here's a few progress shots from me working (overworking?) on my painting "Chained by Fate".

A step backwards?

It needs more work I think.

Something like

This is more what I would have wanted to send to Sheridan, except in pencil or pen and a little tighter.

Posted

Well, It's done.

My portfolio is all mailed off.  Everythings there.  But I feel with a little more time I could have really knocked some of the drawings out of the park.  (I even had to skip a day of class to get it all finished on time.)

The picture is one of my drawings for the portfolio.
It's one of two action poses.  It said in the instructions to keep it "rough and loose."  If I didn't procrastinate so much it would have been one of my strongest works.

Oh well.

Now we wait.

Animation

Alright.

This is what I'm up too right now.

It's been pretty tough learning Boom Toon Animation on my own, so due to the time constraints (trial's expiring)  I've switched to a nifty little free program called "Pencil".

Right now I'm just experimenting.  So we have a rough animated sketch of the protagonist running (In poor loss frame style) and then jumping off a cliff (use your imagination as I did not actually draw the cliff) and falling.   It's been fun, but it's time to get to work!

I'm trying to figure out how to get this on here. (I think YouTube should do.)  But I don't have a lot of footage...

I think I'm changing focus.  I'm going to focus more on quality then quantity.  So the frame a day acctually counts.  The frame as an art piece.

P.S.  (This is one of the scrappy frames made with "pencil"  I think I'm going to go all traditional really tight inks.)
